Fourth edition of Quarteira Octopus Week is back between 6th
and 15th September.
The initiative that promises to involve the local authority, economic agents and
the community with the aim of promoting gastronomic tourism while contributing
to the local economy is back.
During the gastronomic show, which is part of the Octopus Week 2019 program, 27
restaurants showcase the octopus's versatility in proposals that alternate
between traditional Portuguese and international cuisine.
In addition to the recipe competition, open to the population, the program
includes the exhibition of sculptures prepared by users and staff of EXISTIR -
Association for Intervention and Rehabilitation of Disabled and Disadvantaged
Populations.
Titled «Octopus of Quarteira, EXISTING in Today's World», the exhibition will be
installed at Rua Vasco da Gama.
The activities are joined by two showcookings and two performances of Rancho
Folkloric of São Sebastião, on the 8th and 14th, in the Promenade of Vilamoura
Marina and Largo do Autárquico in Quarteira, respectively.
The full Octopus Week 2019 program and restaurants participating in the
gastronomic show can be found on the AEQV website (www.aeqv.pt) or on the
Octopus Week 2019 Facebook page.
